Mayor Elect is the an official title in the government structure of townsfolk, often referred to as Mayor or Lord Mayor. Mayors are elected or selected by a town council but then rule for a life term.

The Mayor of Isaer and Mayor of Jaelot are never referred to by name in the story. The Mayor of Erdane's and Mayor of Hanshire's names are not revealed until Traitor's Knot.
