Barach s'Valerient is the second son of Jieret and Feithan. He is broad-shouldered with rough-cut good looks. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.

He is 18 years old in Third Age 5670.

Peril's Gate

Third Age 5670: When Jieret leaves camp to defend Arithon in Daon Ramon Barrens, Barach remains in Halwythwood as clan chieftain in Jieret's absence.

Traitor's Knot

Third Age 5671: Barach is summoned for Braggen's homecoming, but does not arrive in time to hear Braggen's initial news about Arithon's actions.

When Arithon arrives in camp, Barach offers his oath of fealty as Earl of the North. He is 20 at this time and resembles Steiven s'Valerient. A conversation between Braggen, Barach, Sidir, and Dakar is overheard by Jeynsa, who draws her own conclusions about their discussion of necromancy in Etarra. Barach holds a council with Sidir, Feithan, Braggen, Dakar, and Halwythwood's three titled elders. Eriegal arrives late and covers for Jeynsa's disappearance before finally revealing that she went after Arithon.

Stormed Fortress

Third Age 5671: Barach is impressed by Jeynsa's intent to open a formal inquiry in Melhalla.

Initiate's Trial

Third Age 5688: While Lysaer is Mayor of Etarra, he creates a treaty with Barach, bringing stable peace to the clans in Rathain.

Third Age 5712: Barach dies.
