Cierl-ankeshed venom

Cierl-ankeshed venom is a highly poisonous methspawn venom which causes a "wasting of the nerves, a screaming firestorm of agony that resulted in twitching paralysis"[1] It is incurable. By the Third Age, cierl-ankeshed was believed by the Fellowship to be thoroughly eradicated.

The Gallant
Third Age 4995: When investigating a migration of methspawn outside of Ganish, Sethant discovers that the beacon tower sentry has been attacked by quetzals with cierl-ankeshed venom. Lisianne is attacked by quetzals while riding with a fleeing caravan, and Sethant gives her a merciful death.
Curse of the Mistwraith
Third Age 5637: Verrain discovers a meth-snake with cierl-ankeshed venom during a routine exploration of Mirthlvain Swamp.
