Dame Dawr is the grandmother of Bransian s'Brydion and Mearn s'Brydion. She has short-cropped hair and carries a silver and ebony walking stick. She is described as a sensible, diminutive old lady with crab-apple features, and one of the few people that can immediately chastise the s'Brydion brothers into good behavior.

Third Age 5667: Dawr is sent as an emissary to the Summer Solstice festival in Avenor, Duke Bransian's way of responding to Avenor's complaint that no emissary had been closer than a distant second cousin for more than a decade. She warns Ellaine circumspectly that Lady Talith did not commit suicide. Dawr departs Avenor after the festival, traveling by foot through town to gathering logistical intelligence. When confronted by Acolyte Cowill, a sunwheel acolyte and potential spy intent on traveling to Alestron, she leads him to believe that he will be manning an oar for the entire journey. He debarks at Tideport.
The state galley stops in Telmandir in visit King Eldir, and arrives in Alestron a few months later. She attends a meeting between the s'Brydion brothers and Traithe in the inner citadel at Alestron. Traithe warns of Lysaer's long-term plans and passes on Sethvir's request to send three s'Brydion children to Havish for safety's sake.
Third Age 5670: In late autumn, Cerebeld orders an acolyte from Jaelot to visit Alestron as an emissary of the Light. Dame Dawr refuses to let him in. When Princess Ellaine arrives requesting sanctuary, Dame Dawr informs her that she will be escorted to Methisle Fortress into Verrain's care, and ultimately on to the hostel of Ath's Adepts in Spire. She gives Ellaine a set of garnet hair pins.
Third Age 5671: In the summer, Dawr becomes aware that Arithon is performing in disguise in Alestron's taverns. She arranges for a private audience between him, the s'Brydion brothers, and their wives so Arithon can warn them of Lysaer's planned attack. After the s'Brydion brothers' refusal to hear reason, Arithon formally severs the alliance originally started during the Vastmark campaign.
Third Age 5671: After failing to convince Bransian and Mearn to change course, Kharadmon informs Dame Dawr of the news. Dawr asks Parrien's wife, Tiassa, to visit with the families of the garrison immolated by Light when Keldmar's wife, Sindelle, is too bereft to do so.
When Duke Bransian summons Jeynsa for an audience with Dakar, Elaira, and Sidir, machinations by Dame Dawr's servants places Talvish in the role of Jeynsa's escort. When Arithon returns to Alestron, Dame Dawr requests a performance in his role as Masterbard. Fionn Areth, Jeynsa, Talvish, Sidir, and Mearn also attend. After the performance, Dawr asks to join the folk that Arithon leads out to safety. Arithon uses his Masterbard's arts to awaken Alithiel, causing both sides in the siege to reevaluate their priorities. Dame Dawr realizes that her heirs have been offered a chance to survive and dies content.
