Ships of Merior
Third Age 5644: Following the Battle of Strakewood, Kharadmon left Athera in search of clues to the Mistwraith's origin. With no contact in a few years, Sethvir worried that Kharadmon had lost awareness of himself.
Warhost of Vastmark
Third Age 5646: In fact, Kharadmon had heard every attempt to call him home but could not respond, as he was locked in combat with wraiths. When the homing beacon reached him, he did what he could to unravel the spell, and then returned home with nine free wraiths in tow. Because the homing beacon was tied to Athera, there was a real risk that other wraiths would be able to follow its trail across space, becoming free wraiths in the process.
Third Age 5648: To guard Athera, the Fellowship construct the star wards. Its creation spans an entire year with efforts from the 2 discorporate Sorcerers in space and the 3 corporeal Sorcerers at Althain Tower. The wards spread across arc seconds in space, and cut through time as well.
Third Age 5670: The wards remain silent and inactive until Winter Solstice night, following Morriel's attack on Athera. The Fellowship are all engaged stabilizing the lane flux and the star wards are unguarded at this time. When Kharadmon has a chance to investigate, he discovers that wraiths on Marak have sensed the disharmony of Morriel's attack. Kharadmon is recalled from the star ward to assist at Rockfell Peak in late winter but is delayed by a pack of two dozen questing wraiths. He returns in defense as soon as he can.
Third Age 5670: Kharadmon requests additional help from Sethvir to defend against the wraiths, but Sethvir has no help to spare. After Asandir returns from the grimward, Kharadmon attempts to distract a pack of wraiths while Asandir alters the homing spell that draws them.
